Audi hybrid and electric cars

Audi has embraced the electrification trend fully and now offers a wide range of both purely electric and plug-in hybrid family cars, SUVs and performance models

Audi electric cars

As part of the Volkswagen Group, premium brand Audi is playing a major part in its parent organisation's shift from internal-combustion to electrified powertrains. It currently has an extensive range of fully or partly electric-powered models on sale, encompassing family SUVs, high-performance grand tourers, executive and luxury saloons and practical hatchbacks. Audi e-tron S

Audi e-tron

The first fully electric car launched by Audi, the e-tron is a large family SUV that's similar in size to the Q5 and matches it for practicality and interior quality. It offers up to 250 miles' range on a charge, and there's a high-performance 'S' variant, too. Read our full review here.

Audi e-tron Sportback

Audi e-tron Sportback

Aimed at those who are happy to sacrifice some practicality in the name of striking looks, the e-tron Sportback gives the regular e-tron SUV a rakish coupe-like roofline, but retains the choice of 50, 55 and S battery and motor options. Read our full review here.

Audi e-tron GT

Proving electric cars can be both fast and fun, the e-tron GT is built on the same chassis as the Porsche Taycan. Despite the weight of its batteries, it's incredibly quick and agile, as well as sporting a stylish, beautifully finished and high-tech interior. Read our full review here.

Audi Q4 e-tron

Audi Q4 e-tron

Sharing technology with the VW ID.4, the Q4 e-tron is poised to ramp up Audi's electric sales in the UK, targeted squarely at the family SUV and company-car markets. The longest-range version will hit 300 miles and the interior is top-notch, too. Read our full review here.

Audi Q4 e-tron Sportback

Audi Q4 Sportback e-tron

Few Audis escape the 'Sportback' treatment these days, and the Q4 e-tron is no different. For a small price premium, you get a sleeker-looking if somewhat less practical shape, but with the same wide choice of battery sizes and trim levels. Read our full review here.

Audi A3 TFSI e plug-in hybrid

Audi A3 TFSI e

The A3 is Audi's big-selling family hatchback, so it's not surprising to see it being offered in company-car-friendly plug-in hybrid form. Sharp looks, a top-quality interior and excellent refinement count in its favour, but it's not the most practical. Read our full review here.

Audi A6 TFSI e - cornering

Audi A6 TFSI e

Large four-door saloons are popular with company-car users: this is Audi's rival for the BMW 530e and Mercedes E 300 e in this closely fought class. It's not the sportiest option you can choose, but it is supremely refined, comfortable and efficient. Read our full review here.

Audi A7 hybrid

Audi A7 TFSI e

If a four-door saloon is just a bit too traditional and dull for you, the swoopy A7 four-door coupe offers the same plug-in hybrid drivetrains as the A6 TFSI e, but in a more stylish and eye-catching, yet still practical, package. Read our full review here.

Audi A8 hybrid

Audi A8 hybrid

Audi A8 TFSI e

Silent electric running capability suits high-end luxury limousines well: they're all about smoothness and comfort, after all. While it's not as much fun to drive as its BMW 7 Series rival, the electrified A8 is still a hugely accomplished machine. Read our full review here.

Audi Q3 45 TFSI e plug-in hybrid

Audi Q3 TFSI e

Marrying two of the fastest-growing trends in the automotive industry, this the petrol-electric version of what has become one of Audi's most popular cars: the Q3 compact SUV. It promises to mix family-car practicality with rock-bottom running costs. Read our full review here.

Audi Q5 TFSI e

Audi Q5 TFSI e

If you need a bit more space than the Q3 has to offer, but still want efficient plug-in hybrid power, you can step up the larger and classier Q5. With up to 362bhp from the most powerful version, it's a swift and spacious way to transport the family. Read our full review here.

Audi Q7 TFSI e

Luxury SUVs were among the least efficient cars on the road, but that's all changed with the advent of electrification. Audi's lavishly finished range-topper promises 100+mpg, along with up to 456bhp and masses of interior space and boot capacity. Read our full review here.

Audi Q8 TFSI e

The same way the A7 adds sleek coupe styling to the A6, the Q8 TFSI is a coupe-SUV version of the rather bluff Q7. Practicality does take a bit of a hit, but the car's performance, handling and efficiency figures remain very impressive. Read our full review here.
