Ford Mondeo Estate Hybrid MPG & CO2 emissions

You need the Ford Mondeo Estate Hybrid’s Titanium Edition spec and 17-inch alloy wheels to maximise company-car tax savings

Ford Mondeo Estate Hybrid
MPG (comb) MPG (high) MPG (low) CO2
46.3-47.1mpg 51.4mpg 40.9-41.5mpg 103-113g/km

The Mondeo Estate Hybrid returns reasonably competitive CO2 and MPG figures for a large and predominantly petrol-powered family car, but its most impressive CO2 figure is only valid for models with 17-inch alloy wheels.

Also, its fuel economy suffers on a long motorway run, where a modern diesel will still be more efficient.

Wheel size has a bearing on the fuel economy and emissions you'll see from your Mondeo Estate Hybrid. The cheapest Titanium Edition car with 17-inch alloys puts out 103g/km, but this figure rises by a whole 10g/km to 113g/km on the larger 18-inch wheels.

The range-topping Vignale model's CO2 figure is slightly lower, at 111g/km. There's also a slight variation in fuel economy, with the Titanium Edition seeing 47.1mpg and the Vignale slightly less, at 46.3mpg.

Pretty much every diesel Mondeo returns more than 50mpg, and they're available in cheaper trim levels than the hybrid, too.
