BMW 330e interior & comfort

You need the top-spec BMW 330e M Sport for the full suite of in-car technology and features

BMW interiors have long been known for simple yet classy design, and these days they integrate a host of the latest in-car technology very effectively, too. The longest list of gadgets (and the largest screen with which to operate them) is reserved for the range-topping M Sport, however.

BMW 330e dashboard

The 330e features a typically stylish and driver-orientated dashboard of the type we've come to expect from BMW. It's more straightforward and less fussy than what you find in the current Audi A4 and Mercedes C-Class.

Equipment, options & accessories

The 330e is offered in SE, Sport and M Sport specification levels, just like the rest of the 3 Series range. SE comes as standard with 17-inch alloy wheels, adaptive LED headlights, air-conditioning, cloth upholstery, Bluetooth and USB connectivity and 8.8-inch touchscreen display with sat nav, cruise control, rain-sensing wipers, automatic headlights, all-round parking sensors and a reversing camera.

Stepping up to Sport spec brings 18-inch alloys, high-gloss exterior trim, a larger fuel tank, heated sports seats up front and leather upholstery. M Sport (generally the big seller in the range) adds a different design of 18-inch alloys, a 12.3-inch dashboard display, a series of connected online services, M Sport styling touches and logos inside, an M Sport bodykit outside, a leather steering wheel, uprated brakes and sports suspension.

Infotainment, apps & sat nav

The most comprehensive infotainment suite is reserved for the M Sport trim level, where you get a large 12.3-inch dashboard touchscreen display with sat nav, Apple CarPlay and connected concierge, music, traffic update and Microsoft Office services.

SE and Sport have a smaller 8.8-inch screen, with sat nav, Apple CarPlay, concierge services and real-time traffic information. All models get BMW's 'Intelligent Personal Assistant', which is voice-activated digital 'helper', similar to Amazon's Alexa or Apple's Siri.
