Renault Megane Sport Tourer E-TECH hybrid (2020-2022) boot space & seating

Estate is the only bodystyle option for now, which makes the Megane hybrid a very practical choice by default

The Renault Megane E-TECH hybrid is currently only available as a Sport Tourer, or estate car as most will call it. This means it’s a really practical plug-in hybrid, although a five-door hatchback version is on the way as well.

Renault Megane hybrid interior space, storage & comfort

The Megane E-TECH isn’t too different from a regular Megane, which means that it’s one of the more practical and spacious cars in its class. It’s got plenty of rear leg and headroom, and while it’s slightly dark in the back, it’s by no means the worst offender in the car world in this regard. There’s lots of room in the front and while the cupholders are in a bit of an awkward spot in front of the gearshifter, the hybrid is automatic-only, so you don’t have to move your left arm once you’re in Drive.

Boot space

With the rear seats up, there’s 447 litres of space in the boot. That’s a very good size but it’s smaller than what you get in the petrol and diesel versions of the Megane estate – those have 563 and 504 litres respectively. Fold the seats down and there’s 1,408 litres to play with – again, less than there is in the petrol (1,543 litres) and diesel (1,484 litres) versions.
