14 reasons why electric cars are better than petrol and diesel cars - range

Not convinced an electric car is for you? Here are the 14 reasons why an electric could be your only car

They’re quicker than ever to charge

Depending on the charger you’re using, you could take your car’s battery from flat to an 80% charge in around half an hour. But such is the rate of progress, extremely fast 350kW charging stations are rolling out across Europe which, for the right cars, could cut charging times to between 10 and 15 minutes. That’s only a little longer than you could spend queuing in a petrol station today. The first of these will open in 2019, and more than 40 will follow.

Regardless of where you are in the UK, it’s likely you’re little more than a few miles from the nearest public charger. Find out where on the next page.
