They’re quicker than ever to charge

Depending on the charger you’re using, you could take your car’s battery from flat to an 80% charge in around half an hour. But such is the rate of progress, extremely fast 350kW charging stations are rolling out across Europe which, for the right cars, could cut charging times to between 10 and 15 minutes. That’s only a little longer than you could spend queuing in a petrol station today. The first of these will open in 2019, and more than 40 will follow.
