The Peugeot e-Boxer large electric van is on sale now, priced from £49,335 and available in a variety of body sizes with a range of up to 139 miles

Peugeot e-Boxer

Full UK pricing and specifications for the Peugeot e-Boxer electric van have been confirmed, with the model now available to order and priced from £49,335 before VAT, but after the government's plug-in van grant has been deducted.

The e-Boxer shares a platform with the Citroen e-Relay and Vauxhall Movano-e. It's offered in three different body lengths (L2, L3 and L4) and a single body height (H2), offering up to 15 cubic metres of load volume and a maximum payload of up to 1,150kg.

Power comes from a 120bhp electric motor that generates a maximum of 250Nm of torque, fed by either a 37 or 70kWh battery. The smaller battery is available with the L2 and L3 body lengths and gives the van a 73-mile range, while the larger can be fitted to the L3 and L4 versions, for 139 miles' driving range. Top speed is limited to 68mph and the battery comes with an eight-year/160,000-kilometre warranty.

Unlike some other electric vans, the e-Boxer comes with 22kW rapid-charging functionality as standard; it's capable of taking an 80% charge from a public charger in an hour. The 37 and 70kWh versions will charge up in five and nine hours respectively from a 22kW wallbox (usually fitted at commercial premises), while a 7kW domestic wallbox will do the same job in six and 12 hours respectively.

On the outside, only the presence of an 'e-Boxer' badge on the rear door and 'e' badges on the front wings differentiate the electric Boxer from its sister models. Single and double chassis-cab versions, along with a cab-floor version, are also available, allowing custom bodywork and equipment to be mounted on the e-Boxer according to customers' requirements.

Inside, the e-Boxer has three drive-mode select buttons instead of a gearlever, allowing the driver to select Drive, Neutral and Reverse, while the rear-view mirror has a built-in display showing range, charging and battery status information.

A single Professional trim level applies across the e-Boxer range, with a choice of three body styles to suit a variety of needs: panel van, window van and chassis cab. Full Peugeot e-Boxer pricing is as follows:
